Hotel Palazzo Leopoldo's building has its origins noted in documents dated 1434 and over the centuries has been the residence of the Manucci family overseeing surrounding farm land and visitors included the Archduke of Tuscany Leopoldo II in 1837 & in 1945 welcomed the Prince of Italy, Umberto of Savoy. In recent years the last descendants departure another Tuscan family bought and renovated keeping as much as possible of the original structure and furniture ending with a one of a kind house in Tuscany which now will be joined in June 2005 by the Hotel San Niccolo, 30 meters away, a totally renovated building from the 1400's.

	Guests of the San Niccolo will have the use of the facilities of thethe Palazzo Leopoldo such as the indoor pool, the restaurant, the beauty center/spa and the wine shop. A special bonus, to get youprepared for the great wines of the area you'll be tasting and visiting wineries and vineyards, will be a personalized tasting with appetizers and the Palazzo Leopoldo Manor Home in the 1700 kitchen or the terrace (weather permitting)

Daily Program

Day One

Arrive Radda, check into our hotel, the 4* San Niccolo or the 4* Palazzo Leopoldo. This afternoon you will enjoy a wine tasting with snacks.

Day Two

Depart from Radda by bicycle at 9:00 am
Visit the Castle of Brolio and wine tasting
Lunch at Grotta della Rana in San Sano at 1:00 p.m.
Visit the winery Dievole in Vagliagli and return to hotel at 7:00 pm

Day Three

Depart Radda at 9:00 am Visit Badia a Coltibuono, the abbey and cellars, wine and oil tasting
Lunch at the restaurant in Badia a Coltibuono at 1:00 p.m.
Visit the winery Montevertini and wine tasting
Visit the Castle of Meleto and return to Radda

Day Four

Depart Radda for Castellina by minivan at 9:00 am
Departure by bicycle to Monsanto winery and wine tasting
Lunch at Antico Fattore in Castellina at 1:00 p.m.
Visit the Lilliano winery and wine tasting, and return to hotel

Day Five

Deaprt from Radda at 9:00 am
Visit the S. Polo in Rosso winery and wine tasting
Lunch in Siena at Osteria del Carroccio at 1:00 p.m.
Bicycle to the Certosa di Meggino

Day Six

After breakfast continue your holiday or return to Florence or Rome for your flight home.

Transfers on arrival or departure in Radda to the hotel. They can be arranged for you on request along with additional hotel nights at the beginning and end of the tour.
