Our Exclusive tour has the following features:

And you will be accompanied by your own english speaking guide, a wine expert versed on the history and culture of the areas you'll visit. Visit castles and churches dating back centuries, stay in a hotel whose roots extend back over 1000 years and of course sample great food and fantastic wines. Dine and wine in small hotels and agriturismo's, lunch in in small towns and villages. Enjoy 3 star hotel properties all with private bath, superior rooms where applicable, TV, and most are air conditioned.

Day One

Arrive in Florence with accommodation at Hotel La Fortezza or similar, a Liberty Villa dating back to the 19th century, you will find a charming and lovingly furnished small completely renovated hotel with spacious and modern furnished rooms endowed with all the most modern comforts in order to offer guests a pleasant stay. An elegant reading room, a comfortable breakfast room and a private inner parking complete the services of this new structure.

At 4:00 PM a special introductory walking and wining tour of the old city of Florence leaving from your hotel with a private guidewhere you will see the old wine making areas and architecture, a visit to one of the oldest Enoteca’s (wine bar) Migliorini’s, the wine doors of the ancient Patricians, etc.

7:00 PM meet with your bike tour guide for the week at the Trattoria Icche c'è c'è for an introduction to the program over a fine dinner.

Day Two

Departure from Florence at 9:00 AM by bicycle visiting
Impruneta and the farm Lanciola with guided oil and wine
tasting, followed to a visit at at a terracotta laboratory
(Italian for baked earth).

Lunch at Ristorante La Terrazza followed by guided visit to the
the Castle of Montefioralle.

Dinner and spend the night at Hotel Verrazzano in Greve.
Its origins date back to Medieval times and make it one
of the first hotels in Europe. As far back as in the year
1000 AD there is mention of a large market where the square is now, and in 1300 AD an inn already existed where the Hotel Restaurant is now. The entrance, remains the same today was situated between the other two oldest buildings: the hospital and the church.

The stone vaulted ceilings, terracotta arches, ancient portals and characteristic pigeon loft of "Il Casello" are a classic example of rural Tuscan architecture. Three buildings separated by a flagstone courtyard, a panoramic terrace, Podere "Il Casello" sits on a knoll that dominates the Vignamaggio Valley.  From the rooms and terrace one can peacefully enjoy fine meals and quality wines surrounded by a unique and beautiful landscape.  

Day Four

Departure from Panzano. Visit the winery Monsanto with
wine tasting. Lunch at Antico Fattore in Cinciano. Afternoon
visit to Panizzi winery and wine tasting. Dinner in Ristorante
La Mandragola in S.Gimignano and night at Hotel Cisterna


Day Five

Depart S.Gimignano. Visit the winery Casale Falchini w/tasting.
Visit to Colle Val d'Elsa and lunch at Osteria Pane e olio.
Then continue to the winery Isole e Olena and wine tasting.

Day Six

Depart Castellina and visit the Brolio Castle with wine tasting.
Lunch at Grotta della Rana in San Sano. Visit the winery Dievole
in Vagliagli and onto Siena.

Dinner tonight at the Taverna del Conte and Spend the night at
Hotel Antica Torre.

Day Seven

Orientation tour in town by bike and then tour ends. Continue your tour of Italy or we can arrange for your transfer to Florence, Rome or elsewhere for your flight back home.

Rates are per person in effect through December 31, 2007

Single and third person in a room rates are available on request along with group quotes for 7 +

Not Included:

Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, etc.), extras not included in your meals and gratuities for drivers, guides and other service personnel

Transfers on arrival in Florence to the hotel nor on departure from the hotel in Siena. They can be arranged for you on request along with additional hotel nights at the beginning and end of the tour.
