ROMAN PROMENADE TOUR, PIAZZA DEL POPOLO - SPANISH STEPS - VIA CONDOTTI - THE SQUARES - COMBO BUS AND WALKING EXPERIENCE
Your opportunity to stroll around Rome, under professional guidance, where every corner evokes fascinating legends and curiosities, and testimonials of 3000 years of history blending with todays' "Dolce Vita".
After Villa Borghese Park (by bus), Rome will open its arms to you, by the spectacular Gate and Piazza del Popolo, as it has done for centuries to the pilgrims walking in from North. Of its three churches , it is imperative to visit S. Maria del Popolo, with masterpieces by Caravaggio and Bernini, just to name two. So we enter a very cosmopolitan, and yet so italian, district, that invariably spells a subtle charm on the visitor, by its bright atmosphere and elegant liveliness.
Walk leisurely through Via Margutta (the local "artist Village") , up to Piazza di Spagna, towered over by the romantic Spanish Steps and Trinità dei Monti Church, and Via Condotti surrounding streets, citadel of the most prestigious Italian stylists, a paradise for selective window-shoppers (some free time). Then from the end of via Condotti, we will lead you through a picturesque maze of narrow streets, discovering a unique succession of historical and artistic treasures, reachable only by foot, and thus usually missed by tourism. The Squares: S.Lorenzo in Lucina, Parliament, Montecitorio and its obelisk, Pietra and Hadrian's Temple, the theatrical Piazzetta dei Burrò, St.Ignace's and its "fake" dome, will give you a taste of the baroque Churches, rich of incredibly spectacular frescoes and illusionist effects on the vaults, by themselves only worth a trip to Italy (along the itinerary, let us treat you to the "best gelato in Rome", at a historical cafè rightly renewed for that). from there most hotels are easily reachable. Our guide will be , of course, available for directions or any advise. the tour takes place mostly along pedestrian islands : so the walking involved will prove even more pleasant.
Departure between 08.45 am and 09.15 am from April to October on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning from 7.45 and 8.15a am.
Including transportation and english speaking guide.
Duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes.

CAPITOL HILL- THE VITTORIANO AND ITS VIEWS
The Capitoline Museums would be worth a trip to Italy, not only for their contents but also for their majestic halls richly decorated by illustrious Renaissance and Baroque masters. A fascinating concentration of artistic and historical wonders as offered by Capitol Hill is certainly unique.
Your tour includes the Square, the Palazzo dei Conservatori, the Palazzo Nuovo, the Senatorial Palace with breath-taking views of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The Rich amount of masterpieces exhibited there comes from Ancient Rome and Greece, such as the bronze Capitoline-She-Wolf, the Colossal Constantine head, the Marcus Aurelius in bronze, the Dying Gaul and the Capitoline Venus, but covers as well the successive centuries in a glorious way : for instance, the head of Bernini's Medusa represents him at his best.Return to hotels or nearest point.
