Hello, Cathy!

Yes, we are (sadly) home from our vacation. It was wonderful. The Hotel 53 was great. The staff was outstanding. They did everything to make our stay comfortable. The triple room was great, too. It had a main room with a queen size bed, a large bathroom & a separate little room with a single bed. It was perfect for the 3 of us. Also, the location was excellent, close to the Metro, buses & taxi stand; with services such as a bar, pizzeria & trattoria very nearby. We would definitely stay there again. There is a small lounge toward the rear of the ground floor where guests can stow their luggage or wait. Also, the company used for airport transportation was prompt & reliable.

Thanks again for all of your help with this trip. It was a memorable family experience that we will always remember.

All guides & busses were where & when they were supposed to be….. the guides were great and the group appreciated having private tours & transfers after seeing the other options ! The tour in Naples/Capri/Sorento/Pompeii was great. The guide was waiting for us on time, and was so knowledgeable, as was the driver. Everything was very much to our satisfaction, and I certainly would be comfortable recommending your services again to anyone that I know who will be on a similar trip, or to anyone who may wish a reference for you.

Italy FIT

Steve,

We had a terrific time and no problems! No hiccups whatsoever. I will step through the trip with some comments.

Venice was fun, The Gondola ride/with singer at night was really nice. Hotel was also helpful and good. The walking tour was good; got you in the church without waiting in line.

Cinque Terre was one of my favorite parts of the trip. It was the best hotel of the trip; friendly!!@!! Best breakfast. and Cinque Terre had the best food. The hike is what we needed after a week of eating. In Monterosso, the restaurant Chalk was the best meal we had on the trip. Ate there twice. Also. Miki's was great.

Florence-The first walking tour was great!!!!! and the tour of the Uffizi got us in without waiting in line. The Pitti Palace was worth seeing. Hotel had a great location and nice outdoor seating for the bar area. People also friendly. The Chianti tour was nice, but wish we saw a little more.

Siena- I had a blast in Siena. The hotel was a little bit of a hike, but were so friendly. Hanging out in the square and drinking wine occupied a lot of time. Also, ate at a great restaurant Nana Gina's.

Rome- Incredible! Could have spent a few more days there. The Vatican tour was great; again didn't have to wait in line and the explanation of things really helped. Our first tour was on Wednesday and was good and ended at the Vatican also. On Wednesday the Pope gives his blessing, so did see the Pope.The hotel was in a great location and the people were helpful. .

The trip was incredible and will be in my memories forever. Your tips were also helpful. A taxi driver tried to charge me 35 euros to take us to our hotel in Rome. I said noway and got one for 10. Thanks again for everything!!!!!!!!!! I will recommend you for anyone going to Italy!!

I thought the lessons were great. Diane was delightful. I got a good feeling for what is special about cooking in Rome. She had a very personal approach to cooking. I was lucky I was the only student. The other students all cancelled because of the financial crisis. It was their loss.

Our guide was very informative and professional. We were met on time and arrived back on the ship in plenty of time. We went to Capri and he showed us around the island.

After our visit to Capri we went to Sorrento where we had lunch and then we went to Pompeii.

In Pompeii he gave us a wonderful tour with extensive information and whisked us past larger groups so that we were able to visit all the highlights in a couple of hours. Unfortunately it rained while in Pompeii, but he had no control over that and it did not dampen our enjoyment of Pompeii.

I would not hesitate in recommending your services. Thank you for all your help.
