“ITALY and THE MYTH OF SPEED”
There have always been close ties between Italy and motor traditions.
This land is home to the motor industry. Here there has always been a passion for mechanical engineering, so that the myth of speed has become an important part of its culture.
FIAT with its cars is a symbol of Italian industries, taking the name of Italy with them out into the world. Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini, names synonymous with international prestige, leading-edge technology and impeccable elegance, were born here.
DAY 1: Milan
Pick up at Milan airport. Transfer to the hotel in Milan.
After check-in, if early enough a short bus tour of the city will take place

The most popular building is Milan's cathedral, a symbol of the greatest work of gothic architecture in Italy. It is the third largest cathedral in the world. After visiting the inside you will enjoy going on its roof. |
The history of Milan is closely connected with systems of canals, that pass through the whole city.
| The area characterized by the Navigli is certainly one of the most picturesque of Milan. Typical, old Milan houses, old wash-houses with wooden beamed roofs and craftsmen’s workshops remember on passed times. Today you find boutiques and ateliers of artist of Milan, cafes, restaurants and old moored barges fitted out as bars for meeting the typical atmosphere and the young professionals of Milan. |

DAY 2: Milan - Turin - Milan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Turin for a guided visit of the city and the Automobile Museum where you'll see a fascinating collection of vehicles for the era between World War I & World War II.

In 1937 the great Mirafiori plant of Fiat, which for its time introduced the most advanced principles of industrial mass production that it revolutionized it forever. It truly can be said that Fiat the "mother of modern automobile manufacturing"
put Turin at the forefront of communities designated as Motor Cities. |
Lunch in a restaurant in the center of the city with return to Milan for a shopping trip in "the city of fashion”.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Milan. DAY 3: Milan - Lake Garda - Padua
Breakfast at the hotel.
Afterwards transfer to Sirmione for a motorboat excursion of the lake.

Along the entire length of the lake you can admire fabulous views of the steep-sided shores and picturesque villages nestling between the mountains and lakeside.
Catullus, considered the greatest writer of Latin lyric verse died in 54 BC at age 30, loved the village of Catullo and in his verses he defined it "the gem of all the penisulas". It is a fascinating thermal location and cultural site, where you can feel the atmosphere of the ancient ages, while visiting Catullo’s caves.

Have lunch with the typical products and wine of this region and then continue on to Padua to your hotel for the next two nights.
Enjoy a few free hours before dinner, walking through “Prato della Valle”, reaching St. Antony’s Cathedral, have a drink in the worldwide famous Pedrocchi Bar, in the historical center of the city.

DAY 4: Padua – Venice - Padua

A wonderful day excursion to Venice using the exclusive motorboat il Burchiello®, cruising Brenta Canal from Stra to St. Mark’s Square in Venice On board you will have appetizers and admire more than fifty villas, once summer residences of the Venetian nobility.
On arrival in Venice there will be a guided walking tour of the city.

A visit of Venice, known as “La Serenissima”, must include St Mark’s square, the Basilica and the Bell Tower. Then, walking into Campo Santo Stefano from the Accademia, San Marco or Rialto, it is hard to resist the temptation to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by. The grandest of the immense palaces of the city, the Doge's Palace, Palazzo Fortuny and Palazzo Pisani, in the small square in front of which plays are often performed. One of the most views in Venice is where the Grand Canal makes its first sweeping curve, affording a view of the harbour of San Marco, a glimpse of |
| the extraordinary church of Santa Maria della Salute and the golden dome of the Punta della Dogana. Wander through the narrow streets, called “calle” and then appreciate this magical atmosphere. Taste a “cappuccino”, maybe in the square commonly referred to as "Campo dell'Accademia", although its real name is Santa Maria della Carità, which is one of Venice's traditional meeting places. |
Lunch and afternoon at your leisure to explore the city of islands, bridges and canals.
Dinner at a non typical restaurant in Venice and afterwards transfer to a Venetian Casino for some games of chance returning late tonight to the hotel in Padua.
DAY 5: Padua -Modena - Sant’Agata Bolognese- Modena
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Modena and visit to the Maserati Headquarters Building.

The red brick building, built according to the classical style dictates of the Industrial Revolution, is still today the heart of a structure profoundly modified with respect to the past. |
Lunch today is the food or the Emelia Romagna region and today you'll eat “Emiliana” style.
This afternoon visit Lamborghini Museum and the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Bologna.

Laid out on two floors with "open-views", it is surrounded by large glass panels which allows you to see everything in sight from the road outside, the Museum is home to dozens of standard vehicles from as early as the 1970s, Formula One racing cars, car and offshore boat engines, old tools from the factory and hundreds of car models from various countries and ages. Since 1940, the company with the trident logo has been based in historic premises at Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena. |
Transfer to the hotel in Modena for the next two nights.

DAY 6: Modena- Maranello - Modena
Breakfast at the hotel.
Afterwards on to Maranello, Ferrari country.

Visit to Ferrari gallery in Maranello. The Ferrari Gallery occupies a number of rooms, displaying historic cars, Formula One single seat and modern GTs, technological innovations, trophies, technical drawings, films and photographs and see also the Ferrari shop with original Ferrari merchandise. |
A non traditional lunch today at a restaurant which in their menu uses its homegrown products and offers the largest wine list in the entire region.
Return to Modena for a visit to the private Museum "Stanguinelli" to see actual different models of this famous vintage manufacturer.
Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
DAY 7: Modena - Bologna - Imola - Milan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Bologna , then to the Ducati Museum and see 50 years of history on the worlds most wanted Motorcycle, the Ducati, soon to be available in the US as announced in April 2006 the 20007 Super Bike will be available in showrooms in 2007.

Then to the “Dino e Enzo Ferrari” circuit in Imola, visiting the box and paddock areas, control tower and making a tour of the racetrack.
After your visit, lunch along the famous “wine street” crossing the hills south of Imola.
Return to Milan to your hotel and then a Farewell Dinner in a very special restaurant.
